About the College
Sri Vidya Mandir Arts & Science College (SVMC) is an Autonomous institution affiliated to Periyar University, Salem, and accredited by NAAC with 'A' Grade (CGPA 3.27). Established in 2000 under the aegis of Sri Vidya Mandir Higher Educational Trust, Uthangarai, the college is situated in Katteri, Uthangarai, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Nadu.
The college was founded with a singular mission: to provide quality higher education to first-generation learners from the rural districts of Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri. Over two decades, SVMC has grown into a premier institution offering 25+ programmes across science, arts, and management disciplines, producing more than 1,000 university rank holders and 82 gold medalists.
With DST-FIST sponsored research laboratories, a robust placement cell, language laboratory, 175-computer facility, and student-centric mentoring programmes, SVMC bridges the gap between academia and industry for students from underserved communities.
