About the Department

The Department of English was established in 2000 to offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in English language and literature. The department emphasises communicative English, literary studies, and research writing.

Students develop proficiency in spoken and written English, critical analysis of literary texts, and research skills. The department prepares students for careers in teaching, media, corporate communication, and civil services.
