Training & Placement Cell

OVERVIEW OF THE TRAINING & PLACEMENT CELL

Training & Placement Cell was was inaugurated by  our Honorable Chairman Thiru.V.Chandrasekaran. A Committee was formed with a Coordinator and Members from various Departments for effective functioning of the Cell. Each Department has one Staff representative to guide the students and for preparing the student’s data. The Training and Placement Cell of the College has an integral role in the recruitment, and the Cell is provided with complete infrastructure support. Training programmes are organized throughout the year to prepare students to face the recruitment process. Students are also guided in improving skills to meet industry needs. The cell conducts training activities for the students mainly focusing on Career planning, Personality Development Industry- Institute Interaction, in plant training, Industrial visits and Campus placements.

To achieve distinction in Training and Placement by having continuous interaction with Industries and provide an Opportunity for an Employment .

Objective

  • To Create awareness among students regarding available career options and help them in identifying their career objectives and Act as a bridge between students, alumni and employers.
  • To prepare students for campus recruitment arranging training in Aptitude tests, GDs, preparing for Technical and HR interviews through professional trainers.
  • To organize campus recruitment for the students with industries.
  • To promote career counseling by organizing guest speakers viz. corporate personnel and by the immediately placed senior students.
  • Tie-up arrangements with Industries & Corporate of repute for Campus recruitment.

  • Identifying the Job Aspirants and Registration of students for internships / placements
  • The cell conducts Counselling sessions / Career guidance for the registered students
  • Providing Training Facilities and Materials
  • Enable different organizations to present their pre-placement talks and conduct tests and interviews on the College Campus.
  • Engage different organizations to conduct workshops for the students for interview.
  • The Placement Cell also conducts Basic English classes to help the students to develop communication skill.
  • Different institutions will also extend their support by training the students in various skills, helping the cell with resource persons and conducting courses for students.
